Flandrau Science Center

The University of Arizona in Tucson has a small science museum called the Flandrau Science Center.

The museum houses an extensive collection of minerals and ores, such as this giant malachite specimen and cabinet of polished rocks:

But the real gems (ha!) are in the basement, where they seem to have a sample of just about everything:

There is also a space exhibit and a planetarium. The planetarium was being used for a class that day so I didn’t get to look inside.
