Oh give me a home…
where the vehicles roam,
where the semis and suv’s play
where seldom is found
an uninteresting mound
and the traffic’s not crowded all day
Home, home on i-10,
with nary a rest stop to stay
where seldom you pass
a car going too fast
while barreling down the highway.
I made it to Austin at 2 AM. There is nothing to see between El Paso and Austin. Nothing. I think that the most interesting thing I saw was a wind farm, where each of the windmills had a red blinking light. All the lights blinked at the same rate, and it looked like a giant, static, boring synchronized laser show.
That’s it for my ride down the 10. Tomorrow: the 30!
